SUMMER SKILLS CAMP: WEEK 3

Unleash Your Child's Basketball Potential!

With over a decade of camp management experience and 130 successful camps delivered to date, the LSB Summer Skills Development Camps offer a proven, action-packed 5-day basketball experience not to be missed! Young players of all abilities, aged between 7-18, can transform their game under the guidance of our expert coaches, who provide personalised attention with a 10:1 camper-to-coach ratio.

Week 3 takes place in Islington, near central London at City Of London Academy - Islington, which is well-serviced by public transport and also has off street parking.  Closely located to the vibrant area of Angel, Hackney and close to Central London, this venue benefits from being conveniently located to a wide array of fun activities parents can occupy themselves with while your young 'hooper' is at camp.

What sets us apart:

  1. Comprehensive Skill Development: From dribbling and passing to shooting and rebounding, we cover all the core fundamentals. Our experienced coaches tailor instruction to each camper's level, ensuring no one is left behind or held back.
  2. NBA-Style League Games: Campers put their newly honed skills to the test in exciting competitive games. It's their chance to shine and experience the thrill of organised basketball in a supportive environment.
  3. Innovative Drills and Exercises: Our carefully designed programme improves ball control, passing skills, spatial awareness, balance, and coordination. We place special emphasis on shooting techniques and offensive skill development, helping campers become more confident and effective scorers. Each activity is crafted to enhance overall athleticism while being both challenging and fun.
  4. Recognition and Motivation: Outstanding performances don't go unnoticed. Campers can earn prestigious awards such as Most Valuable Player, Most Improved Player, Hardest Worker, Coaches Award for positive attitude, and Best Shooter. These accolades boost confidence and inspire continued improvement.
  5. Character Development: Beyond basketball skills, we emphasise teamwork, sportsmanship, and help build self-confidence. Our energetic coaches create a positive atmosphere where young players can grow both on and off the court.

Access to the basketball court is via the sports hall

Changing rooms are available for both boys and girls.

The sports centre is located at the back of the school, on Churchill Road, via a walk in gate halfway down the road. There is no school car park, however parking on Sundays and evenings is free in local bays.  This site is well serviced by public transport, with Tufnell Park tube station just 1 minute away, alongside a number of bus routes.

LSB Skills Development Camps are a lot of fun for young players passionate about basketball and are guaranteed to help players improve fundamental basketball skills, technical understanding of the game and overall health and fitness of every single camper, from the absolute beginner through to the next emerging hoops star! Our camps cover all of the core fundamentals and teach campers how to master the techniques around dribbling, passing, shooting, rebounding, defence, spatial awareness and movement off of the ball. We welcome early stage beginners and work with them to introduce the basics, through to advanced players who will work with our advanced coaches on refined skills, understanding and more complex techniques.
