Parking is available on site. If driving, entrance is on the left as you drive down Westcome Drive. If walking, enter from the main gate on Barnet Lane. Access to the site is via a secure gated entrance - press the intercom (sports reception) and site security will open the gate. Once on site, the basketball class takes place in the sports hall which is located in the last building before the football pitches.

VENUE LOCATION
Structured weekly coaching sessions that teach the basketball fundamentals, step-by-step. Ideal for beginners through to intermediate.
This session will teach your child how to correctly dribble (with both hands), while introducing the basic stances, offensive and defensive footwork, balance, co-ordination and spatial awareness necessary to progress up the skills ladder within the sport.
You will also learn how to correctly pass the ball and taught correct techniques across the primary passes used in all basketball gameplay. You'll be introduced to correct shooting techniques (both stationary and in movement) so your child understands how to correctly shoot the basketball for optimum success.
Towards the end of the term, coaches begin to focus on integrating newly acquired skills into competitive game play.
At the end of the term, your child's progress will be assessed during a grading session where they can earn either a 1, 2 or 3 Star Award, ready for progression upwards the the following term.

18th April 2023 - 23rd May 2023
This class takes place on TUESDAYS and is for the Spring Term, which begins on the 18th April and ends on 23rd March 2023.
